The protected heritage Capuchin monastery complex with the dominant St. Joseph's church is a part of the Chrudim city centre. After 50 years of emptiness and devastation, the church has become the city's cultural institution, exceeding regional significance thanks to its exhibition focused on rural Baroque sculpture. The monastery complex includes the gardens, the renovation of which created a public space with the function of a municipal park, which offers play activities (children's play elements, pétanque, a stage, etc.) and a recreation zone. The urban solution is based on the effort to integrate new exhibition functions into the vicinity. Thanks to their unique position and size, the monastery gardens are a unique, restful green opposite of the stone historical centre.
