Evaluation of the Jury
This project impressed the judges with its simplistic response to the perennial problem of how one solves the constrained conditions of the family house. This house provided an elegant response both externally in materiality but also in the sophistication of the interior space organisation. Some subtleties that ,caught the eye' are the innovative storage techniques (a must-have in a family house), the internal diffuse lighting of the staircase and the subtle twist of the balcony arrangement that both maximised space and added a balance to the twist ion the entry arrangements. Often a very difficult problem to resolve, the judges felt this response was clever, innovative and well executed.
