Family house, Lety by Dobřichovice
The investor bought this, at first glance, impossible to develop plot at a bargain price on the recommendation of an architect. The plot was a challenge and the atmosphere of the Berounka valley was enchanting. The plot is just nine meters wide and is within the flood protection zone. This means that all habitable rooms must be upstairs and the house shall be designed to be narrow and long. The river view is charming, and necessity became an advantage. The ground floor contains the utility rooms, garage and space for occasional lodging. The structure, made of concrete blocks, is visible in the interior and forms, together with fair-face concrete, a neutral background for colourful built-in furniture and doors. The garden is directly accessible from the external terrace with outdoor stairs.
